LOMI INTENSIVE 2007

his year Halau O Limaloa and the Limaloa Institute will combine their resources and provide an in-depth intensive lomilomi journey workshop in Hawai'i this summer. This Lomilomi Intensive is opened to the public with no pre-requisites; however, you must be mentored by a Halau member (present or alumni) in good standing. The Lomi Intensive consists of two one-week intensives on two Hawaiian Islands, Moloka'i and Kaua'i. A participant can take part in one week or the complete two-week journey workshop. This may be a once in a lifetime journey. You will travel with a Kahuna La'au Lapa'au, a Kahuna Lomilomi, and his halau, Halau O Limaloa to two islands. You will learn protocols of how lomi is given and to who is it given to. You will begin to understand what is Old Traditional Lomilomi. We will also take in the beauty of the islands of Maui, Moloka'i and Kaua'i.

The dates are: September 1 to September 8 on Maui and Moloka'i and September 8 to September 15 on Kaua'i.

The cost is: $2200 for each week or $3900 for both weeks. This includes classes, accommodations, meals and land and air transportation while in Hawai'i. This does not include airfare to Hawai'i. A non-refundable deposit of $400 is needed to reserve your place.

Registration is limited to the first 18. For more information, call 808.346.7291 on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.
